How your files are handled
Every DoPDFNow tool opens and changes your file inside your own browser, on your phone or computer. Your files are not uploaded to our server, so we never see them and there is nothing for us to store or delete.

Try it yourself: airplane mode
- Open any tool, for example Compress PDF, and wait for the page to load.
- Add your file.
- Turn on airplane mode, or switch off Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Press the button. The tool still finishes and your download is ready, because nothing needed to go over the internet.
AI tools need their model downloaded once while you are online. Premium tools check your pass when you open them.
What does go over the internet
- The page itself. The tool code, fonts, AI models and OCR language data come from dopdfnow.com, the same as any web page. Your browser may keep a copy so it loads faster next time.
- A usage count. When a tool is opened or used, the page sends the tool's name and whether it was opened or used, for example "compress, used". It never includes your file, its name or its contents, and no cookie is set. The privacy policy explains how we count.
- Visitor statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits and load speed without cookies.
- Your account, if you have one. Signing in and checking your Premium pass talks to our server with your email and a sign-in cookie. Payments open Razorpay's own checkout, so your card, UPI or bank details go to Razorpay, not to us.
- Pictures inside pasted HTML. In HTML to PDF, if your HTML links to pictures on other websites, your browser fetches those pictures from those websites, as any web page would.
What stays on your device for a while
- Your downloads are saved to your own device, like any other download.
- When you drop a file in the box on the home page, or press "Continue with this file" after a result, your browser keeps that file in its own storage for a moment so the next tool page can open it. It is removed as soon as that page opens it, or after 10 minutes at most.
- Your theme, the "Recently used" tools list (tool names only, with a Clear button) and, if you choose to save them, your invoice seller details stay in your browser's storage. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
When you close the page
Your files exist only in the open page's memory while you work. When you close the tab or leave the page, they are gone. We have no copy, because we never received one.
About signatures
The Sign PDF and Signature maker tools add a picture of your signature to the page. This is accepted for many forms, letters and agreements, but it is not a certified digital signature (DSC) of the kind needed for GST, income tax or company filings. For those, use a DSC from a licensed certifying authority.
Redaction and Aadhaar masking
Redact PDF, Auto redact and Mask Aadhaar remove the hidden text under each black box, not just cover it, so the covered words cannot be copied or searched afterwards. Always open the result and check it before you share it.
